On a very narrow high ridge where the wind always seems to be blowing gale force and the view is purely of wildness, there is this tree.
I walk along this ridge frequently because it’s the ‘bridge’ to a lot of places I like to be in. When I am walking north, away from home, I don’t notice the tree. But when I am walking south, I notice it.
I stop. If I have a camera with me (I usually do), I take a picture.
I don’t look at the pictures I have made of this tree. I don’t print the picture. I don’t want the pictures. It’s a water droplets thing.
I am hoping the tree will fall down so I won’t do this any more.

For some reason, your tree reminds me strongly of Käthe Kollwitz.
